We are seeking a temporary administrator to join our People Team based in Devonport. This role will provide essential administrative support within a busy People function, operating in the marine and defence industry.
Our organisation delivers high-quality marine and industrial support services across dockyards in the UK and Ireland, supporting major defence and shipbuilding programmes. The role sits within a regulated and fast-paced environment where accuracy, organisation, and confidentiality are key.
Responsibilities
- Providing general administrative support to the People Team
- Processing BPSS packs and supporting clearance activities
- Assisting with new starter inductions
- Preparing, issuing, and maintaining contractual documentation
- Managing filing and people records
- Supporting training administration
- Maintaining and updating people systems and databases
About you / Qualifications
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Professional and confidential approach
- Previous HR or People Team experience is desirable, but not essential
- A proactive, well-organised individual who can work effectively as part of a team
