Morson Edge are currently seeking a GEF Mechanic with experience as a Qualified Assessor on a permanent basis to be based at RAF Lossiemouth. The Contractor Personnel provided must be able to undertake the following activities in accordance with direction from the GEF Controller:
- Undertake the maintenance and RoTE of EUROJET UK MOD owned AGE in accordance with Typhoon tV for the equipment.
- Should the activities be completed, you will be directed by RAF management to conduct maintenance and RoTE of EUROFIGHTER UK Owned AGE in accordance with Typhoon tV equipment.
- Undertake additional activities including, but not limited to, RAF base open days and training.
- Work towards achieving 1st Signature Boarding within 4 weeks of arrival and 2nd Signature Boarding within 12 weeks under the MMO via the airbase PE.
- All maintenance activities shall be recorded by the contractor using the Authority GFX JAMES tool.
The SQEP Mechanics shall have had previous in-trade experience as follows:
- Proven experience of mechanical tradesman output (minimum 3 years).
- Essential proven relevant management experience of a maintenance team (Supervisor) (minimum 3 years), including demonstrable knowledge and awareness of PUWER.
- Desirable (but not essential) previous experience of using the UK Military JAMES system.
- Desirable (but not essential) previous experience of tool control within an MAA or CAA environment; and Ladders and steps demonstrable knowledge and experience to use equipment safely with optional Accredited Ladder Association training courses.
