Morson Talent is excited to recruit for a Fleet Manager on behalf of a leading French operational leasing company. The company specializes in four key areas: river barges, modular buildings, freight railcars, and shipping containers. This is a permanent, full-time, home-based position.
Role Overview
The Fleet Manager will be responsible for overseeing a dedicated fleet of wagons, managing relationships with lessees, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role involves maximizing fleet revenue (rental income minus operational costs) while ensuring compliance with ECM regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Satisfaction & Fleet Optimization: Maintain strong relationships with lessees, ensuring high levels of service and operational efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to ECM regulations as set by the Technical Department.
- Maintenance Supervision: Oversee maintenance activities performed by external suppliers.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure rental agreements are correctly implemented in line with agreed conditions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to optimize fleet performance.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in fleet management within the transportation sector (e.g., trucks, containers, railcars).
- A background in the rail industry is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong mechanical understanding and ability to manage maintenance operations.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Excellent relationship management skills with customers and suppliers.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
