About the Role –

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Consultant with proven experience working as a Network Architect within emergency services, including fire, police, or ambulance sectors. You will take ownership of technical matters related to connecting Emergency Services (the User Organisations) Networks with the Emergency Services Network (ESN) service.

You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the User Services Supplier technical solutions for Control Rooms and operational communication connectivity to Networks, ensuring effective communication of interface requirements, configurations, and test verification to the emergency services organisations. Your expertise will enable you to guide governance meetings, briefing stakeholders on technical challenges and proposing robust solutions.
Collaborating closely with senior leaders from emergency services ESN teams and network system suppliers, you will help ensure successful integration and deployment of vital network services in mission-critical environments.

What You\’ll Do –

Take ownership of all technical matters related to Emergency Services (User Organisations) Networks connecting to the ESN service.
Develop and maintain deep knowledge of User Services Supplier technical solutions for Control Rooms and critical communications in regards to Network connectivity and clearly communicate interface requirements, configuration information, and test verification processes to the emergency services organisations.
Attend and contribute to governance meetings, providing expert technical briefings and driving resolution of any issues.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders across emergency services (fire, police, ambulance), ESN leads, and network system suppliers to ensure seamless network integration and deployment.
Lead onboarding and integration processes with a focus on meeting technical and performance requirements.
Who You Are –

A highly experienced Network Architect with a strong background in designing complex network architectures and producing Proof of Concepts.
Demonstrable experience working within Emergency Services, Blue Light, Public Services, Government, or similar mission-critical sectors.
Expertise in WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, and Wi-Fi solutions, coupled with a solid understanding of ESN architecture.
Knowledge of the Airwave service and its role within Emergency Services is essential.
Skilled in managing onboarding and integration projects, ensuring seamless delivery aligned with technical and performance standards.
Exceptional customer-facing skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and manage relationships at all organisational levels.
Able to thrive under pressure, manage complex and changing priorities, and balance multiple concurrent tasks.
Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, able to deliver clear, detailed, and collaborative information
