We are looking for a Bid Manager to join our Submarines Division, supporting an increasing portfolio of strategic bid opportunities. This role exists to ensure high-quality, competitive bids are delivered on time and within budget, giving the business the best possible chance of success. Working closely with sales, engineering, commercial and project teams, you will coordinate bid activity across the organisation and act as the focal point for proposal delivery.
- Leading storyboarding, proposal structure and content development
- Conducting competitor and market analysis to strengthen proposals
- Identifying and managing commercial and contractual risks
- Supporting negotiations and transition into project delivery following successful bids
The role reports to the Head of Sales - Submarines Division and works with teams across engineering, commercial and programme functions. Open to all experience levels, whether this would be your first bid role or whether you are experienced in delivering successful bids or proposals within complex technical or commercial environments.
Good commercial awareness and risk management capability is required, along with proficiency using Microsoft Office and collaboration tools. The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) is essential. Experience within defence, maritime or industrial sectors is advantageous but not essential.
