We’re on the lookout for a dynamic Electrical Design Engineer with a passion for innovation to join their growing engineering department. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director, using your design expertise to create electrical systems and control panels while collaborating with diverse teams to bring cutting-edge solutions to life. What You’ll Do As a key member of the team, you will: Design Critical Systems: Create, build, and commission control system panels. Deliver Quality Projects: Manage electrical design tasks, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables. Collaborate and Innovate: Use tools like AutoCAD (EPLAN experience a bonus) to design schematics, power distribution systems, and integrate PLC modules with field devices. Support Operations: Offer technical assistance during installation and in the workshop, ensuring smooth project handovers. Drive Excellence: Maintain health and safety standards while managing offshore work when necessary. What We’re Looking For To succeed in this role, you’ll need: A strong background in electrical design engineering. Expertise in control system panels and familiarity with PLC hardware. Proficiency in AutoCAD (EPLAN familiarity is ideal). Team-focused mindset. A proactive approach to technical and administrative tasks. Experience with PLC systems, motor control, and automation equipment (highly desirable). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of international electrical standards (IEC, NEC, etc.). Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Eligibility for SC Clearance to work within secure marine applications.
