My client, a leader in the UK’s nuclear services industry, is seeking a Junior Cyber Security Analyst to support the company’s ongoing cyber assurance, regulatory compliance, and third-party risk management activities. This contract role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to national security initiatives, working alongside experienced cyber professionals within a highly regulated environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide administrative and operational support to internal cyber security teams and third-party assurance processes.
  • Help manage the team’s shared mailbox and respond to day-to-day business-as-usual (BAU) queries.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders to meet deadlines and ensure compliance documentation is processed efficiently.
  • Assist with data analysis to inform performance metrics and reporting.
  • Maintain secure handling of sensitive nuclear information in accordance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Support the review of Third-Party Security Assessments and occasionally provide on-site audit support.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO27001, HMG Security Policy Framework, GDPR, and other relevant standards.

About You:

  • Familiar with cyber security principles, standards, and frameworks (e.g. ISO27001, ISO27017, GDPR, Cyber Essentials Plus).
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Able to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels and across departments.
