Morson are proud to be working in partnership with Safran Nacelles to recruit for multiple Composite Operators at their site in Burnley.
Composite Layup Operator
To work as part of a wider composite production team working in a controlled environment with materials such as carbon and glass fibre, honeycomb and adhesive materials. To lay up / manipulate carbon plies into complex fixtures using laser projections and templates. Tool preparation and cleaning is also part of the wider scope of the role, as well as understanding what part of the consumables play when the components are finished and transferred to the autoclaves for cure.

Rates:
- Training Composite Operator £15.66 PAYE
- Composite Operator with Composite material experience £16.99 PAYE
- Umbrella options also available
Shift Pattern / Working Hours: Variety of shift patterns available, which command a shift uplift. This will be discussed on application.
Candidate Skills & Requirements:
- Previous experience of a wide range of materials which demand a high level of manual dexterity - Essential.
- Excellent concentration for cutting, trimming material and using tools safely and accurately - Essential.
- Ability to interpret master layouts and engineering drawings - Preferable.
- Possess good spatial awareness - Preferable.
- Basic computer skills - Preferable.
