Solution Architect x 2 (SC cleared or eligible) - £650-£700 per day - Inside IR35 - Hybrid working from a site near Bristol or Bridgwater - Initial contract until end of 2026. Priority will be given to candidates with active SC clearance. We are working on behalf of a well-established, highly regulated organisation to secure an experienced Solution Architect to support their Digital & IT function. This is a key contract role within a mature Architecture team, operating across a complex enterprise environment.
The Role - You'll be responsible for delivering end-to-end solution architecture across a broad technology landscape, ensuring designs are scalable, secure, and aligned to business outcomes. This role combines hands-on architecture delivery with governance, assurance, and stakeholder engagement. You'll work closely with Delivery, Service & Digital Operations, and Data Governance teams, contributing to a structured and controlled environment with strong architectural standards.
Key Responsibilities -
- Produce high-level and low-level solution designs, architecture roadmaps, and technical patterns
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, robust architecture solutions
- Provide solution assurance and contribute to design governance processes (including ARB)
- Design across a diverse estate including Azure, M365/Entra ID, HCI, PLM, EDRMS, EUC, and enterprise platforms
- Review and challenge supplier deliverables and technical designs
- Ensure compliance with cyber security and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Support the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies
Key Skills & Experience -
- Proven background in solution architecture, engineering, or technical design roles within complex environments
- Strong knowledge of Azure cloud, including networking, security, integration, and DevOps pipelines
- Experience with MuleSoft, Databricks, and SQL
- Good understanding of security technologies such as CASB, firewalls, proxies, and load balancing
- Ability to produce high-quality architecture artefacts and documentation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Certifications -
- Azure Expert certification (essential)
- TOGAF and/or ITIL (desirable)

- High-level and low-level designs
- Architecture assessment and assurance reports
- Integration diagrams and environment strategies
- Supplier design reviews
- Governance documentation and ARB submissions
- Technical risk logs and compliance evidence
- Contributions to architecture roadmaps and patterns
