Morson Praxis is looking to recruit a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer and/or Electrical Engineering Apprentice to join our growing engineering team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate or aspiring engineer to begin their career within a supportive engineering consultancy, gaining hands-on experience on a variety of electrical power and infrastructure projects while working alongside experienced industry professionals.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with protection design and coordination studies
- Supporting fault level calculations and protection grading assessments
- Producing electrical design documentation including single line diagrams, protection schematics, wiring diagrams, technical reports and specifications
- Supporting design reviews and technical assurance activities
- Working with experienced engineers on safety-critical infrastructure projects
- Learning industry standards including ENA, IEC and National Grid specifications
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or currently studying towards one) or relevant electrical apprenticeship qualification
- Strong interest in electrical power systems and engineering design
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop within a professional engineering environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
