An exciting opportunity exists for a number of Piping Engineers and Mechanical Engineers with large, complex project experience to work in support of EDF's Hinkley C nuclear power station construction project. The positions will be based at the Hinkley C site near Bridgwater, Somerset (TA5 1UD) 3 days/week, with the rest worked from home. Candidates will be required to obtain nuclear site security clearance for this role. Whilst previous nuclear industry experience would be useful, this is not essential - experience obtained supporting other large regulated industry projects (e.g. oil and gas, rail, defence, petrochemical, marine, etc) would be equally well suited and happily considered.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Degree or equivalent experience in relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience in mechanical and/or piping systems design.
- Experience in the review and acceptance of construction drawings.
- Proven track record of progressing from hands-on trade roles into supervisory or site management position will be an advantage.
- Ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, be pro-active, report on and escalate relevant issues.
