Overview
Morson are recruiting for Aircraft Fitters on behalf of our prestigious client, based at RAF Brize Norton. The company provides MAA Part 145 Aircraft support to the RAF A400M (Atlas) fleet. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated, career-focused and ambitious Aircraft Fitter seeking a challenging, fast-paced and rewarding environment. Responsibilities
- Maintenance, repairs and modifications to the aircraft, in line with organisational policies and procedures detailed in the supporting manuals.
- Identify and rectify existing and potential unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment using a “clean as you go” approach.
- Comply with the company Safety Management System (SMS) occurrence reporting procedures and safety policy.
- Complete aircraft paperwork to a high standard.
- Be aware of COSHH, working at height and manual handling safety requirements.
- Actively embrace a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture.
- Maintain the aircraft and safe use of ground equipment; accurately navigate and interpret aircraft maintenance documentation.
- Carry out aircraft modifications and light structural work if required.
Essential Requirements
- Must hold a valid aircraft standards-based qualification (Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3) or aircraft-related academic qualification/traineeship with a minimum of 3 years recorded experience, or be able to satisfy the Training / Maintenance management team.
- Current Human factors initial and refresher, EWIS and SFAR 88 certificate.
- Knowledge of aeronautical regulations.
- Must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to obtain full SC security clearance.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience on A400M, propeller or wide-bodied aircraft.
- Experience with AirN@v and AMOS.
- Knowledge of Military Aviation Authority (MAA) MRP Part 145 regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative, with leadership potential.
- Proficient organizational skills and ability to work efficiently.
- IPA F/MEWP familiarisation.
Typical Working Conditions
- Primarily based in Brize Norton; travel may be required.
- Shift pattern: 5x5x4 – 0700-1900.
- PPE is provided and its use is mandatory.
Salary
£41,085.00 per annum + £2,720 shift uplift
