Morson Talent are currently looking for skilled fitters for our client in Burnley. Please see the details below: Fitting and assembling parts or sub-assembled structure of nacelle components observing instruction sheets, specifications and standards, in accordance with the established process, using all the required means, observing the cost objectives, the HSE and Quality rules and the daily schedule. MAIN ACTIVITIES Observing the general Environnemental, Hygiene and Safety rules. Making sure of the well using of fixtures, toolings, products and their current validity. Handling sub-assembled elements of nacelle components in order to set up them on the work station / tooling. Assembling per instruction sheet the parts and sub-assembled elements and inspect the work done.. Drilling,countersinking, riveting, fastening, torqueing, to design specification Making sure shelf life products (resin, PR, RTV, Primar, …) have lot numbers and current validity dates and report this data on the Batch card and/or One Shot. Denouncing non conformancies linked to assembling, drilling, countersinking, riveting, torquing operations and/or primary parts. Filling Batch cards regarding traceability of realized operations. Validating operations using self inspection, or delegated inspection. Maintaining work station, tools and work area observing current rules and taking special care to the expiry date of equipments. Identifying and indicating any issue in HSE matter. Respecting HSE rules when using individual or common means. Being part of continuous improvement and all the improvement plans (QRQC, Waste minimisation, 5s …) Being an Aircelle representative to the customer in case of repair or retrofit operation outside. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE Knowledge : Regulation knowledge (internal, security, working schedule). Aeronautical general knowledge.. Knowledge of environnement, health and safety policy and rules. General Knowledge of composite materials. Knowledge of hand tooling (drilling machine, riveting machine,drill bushing, drill, reamer, …). Knwoledge of fitting, assembling, fastening and riveting techniques. Knowledge of hole positionning rules. Knowledge of shimming rules. Knowledge of measurement tools (Vernier caliper, plug gauges, calibres,…). Understanding of technical documents ( instruction sheets, process sheets,rework instructions, drawings, master layouts..). Knowledge of applicable quality rules.( quality basics) Know-how : Taking knowledge of the work planning and the daily objectives through flash 5. Declaring one’s activity in SAP Taking the parts to be assembled from kanban or picking list and performing the required traceability records. Setting up the parts to be assembled on tooling. Fitting the parts to be assembled.. Shimming (liquid, solid) between parts to be assembled.. Drilling, spot facing, boring, countersinking parts to be assembled, using drilling grid, bushing drills, countersinking micrometric devices…. Deburring and/or performing breaking edges. Setting all types of fasteners by riveting or torquing. Performing geometrical inspection and properly filling the associated documents. Vérifying conformity of fasteners (aero-smoothness, bulb shape,…) Changing a fastener Installing bushes. Setting sealant in compliance with cosmetic requirements. Performing functionnal tests on the assembled product (with delegated inspection qualification). Packaging products before shipment if and when required. Observing site and local HSE rules. Identifying the defects and non conformancies. Properly filling documents (batch card) Performing level one maintenance (preventative) operations and seeing to the appropriate running of equipment. Tidying up and cleaning tools and workstation 5s. Required Qualifications : Self inspection qualification. Time served, recognised craft / technical apprenticeship with city& guilds or ONC/HNC cerficates .
