Morson Projects’ sister company Waldeck are recruiting for an Employers Agent / Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team in their Birmingham/Nottingham office on a full time basis. You will be responsible for liaising with the client and managing the costs of projects throughout all stages of construction.

The Role:
- Leading client and contractor communications, including complex contract queries.
- Producing and reviewing professional correspondence, reports, and financial documentation.
- Chairing and minuting meetings, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Advising and supporting junior team members.
- Preparing and managing tender and contract documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Producing detailed contract reports, cost plans, and estimates, and providing guidance on cost-related queries.
- Administering contracts, including valuations, variations, payments, and certification.
- Managing site visits, handovers, defect inspections, and reporting throughout project life cycles.
- Supporting business development, preparing fee proposals, and assisting in bids and networking.
- Managing project resources and contributing to team meetings and continuous improvement.

About You:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of surveying position within commercial organisations.
- Degree or equivalent qualifications and working towards accreditation from a body such as the RICS.
- Strategic perspective and vision.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Drive and commitment and the ability to demonstrate this to others.
- Strong interpersonal communication.
- Strong analytical skills, innovative thinking, ability to focus on the issues requiring action.
- Proven planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
