Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting engineering teams with critical document control processes? We’re looking for a Document Controller / Admin Support to join our dynamic team and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of project documentation for major clients like National Grid, Electricity Northwest, and Morrisons Energy Services. As a Document Controller / Technical Administrator, you’ll work closely with the Senior Document Controller and project engineers to manage and maintain documentation and drawings in accordance with client and company standards. The Role:
- Assist in the delivery of Substation P&C Construction Packs
- Upload and download project documentation using SharePoint and client platforms
- Manage master drawings via National Grid’s EDMS (Livelink)
- Create and maintain transmittals, contract drawing lists, and audit documentation
- Liaise with engineers, clients, and external partners to resolve drawing issues
- Ensure all documents conform to client procedures and standards
- Use AutoCAD and Adobe to view and print drawings
- Maintain internal systems including Skills Matrix and Authorisation Records
- Prepare and issue construction packs based on client requirements
- Perform general admin duties such as scanning, modifying documents, and raising purchase orders
- Support project delivery through careful monitoring and organisation of all project folders
About You:
- Experience with document management systems such as SharePoint, Aconex, Viewpoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Projectwise, or EDMS is essential
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
- A team player who enjoys solving problems and bringing fresh ideas to the table
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to documentation compliance
