What You’ll Do: As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will support the finance function with day-to-day activities, including:
- Processing supplier invoices, staff expenses and purchase orders accurately and on time
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Preparing and processing weekly BACS payment runs
- Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Ensuring all invoices are approved in line with procedures
- Dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting month-end tasks, including journals, reconciliations
- Compile Payment Practices reporting
- Maintaining accurate financial records and helping prepare internal reports
- Handling finance queries from project teams and suppliers, providing excellent service
- Supporting continuous improvement across finance processes and systems
- Contributing to a collaborative finance team and supporting colleagues during peak periods
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using finance systems and Excel (VLOOKUPs/Pivot Tables a plus)
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach
