Junior Bid Writer in Eccles

We’re looking for a Junior Bid Writer to join our growing team and support the development of tender submissions across infrastructure, energy, defence and public sector programmes. As a Junior Bid Writer, you will support the development of structured, high-quality bid submissions, including:

• Writing clear, structured responses to client tender questions, communicating technical approaches and experience
• Interpreting public sector and commercial tender documentation and translating requirements into written responses
• Working closely with the Bid Manager and technical teams to gather and understand key information
• Writing and editing proposal content, case studies and capability statements
• Supporting submissions for framework agreements, public sector tenders and infrastructure opportunities
• Reviewing and improving existing bid content to ensure clarity, quality and consistency
• Assisting with the coordination of documentation required for tender submissions
• Ensuring all submissions are compliant with client requirements and tender specifications
• Supporting pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) and associated documentation
• Maintaining and developing a library of bid materials and company information

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Excellent written communication and editing skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to interpret and communicate technical information clearly
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues across multiple disciplines
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint

Desirable

• Experience in bid writing, proposals, marketing or technical writing
• Degree in English, Business, Marketing, Communications or similar
• Experience working with public sector tenders or structured documentation
• Interest in engineering, infrastructure or technical consultancy
