At Morson Praxis, we’re the technical consultancy that actually delivers what it designs and strong governance, compliance and audit processes are essential to maintaining the high standards our clients expect across complex engineering and infrastructure projects. We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance & Audit Officer to join our Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional looking to take on a broader audit and assurance-focused role within a growing consultancy environment. We’re looking for a Compliance & Audit Officer to support and strengthen compliance, assurance and continuous improvement activities across the business. This role is central to ensuring the organisation remains compliant, audit-ready and aligned with industry standards, legislation and client expectations.

What You’ll Do
- Support the delivery of compliance, governance and audit activities across the business, including:
- Planning and conducting internal compliance and assurance audits
- Identifying non-conformances, compliance risks and improvement opportunities
- Producing audit reports and monitoring corrective actions through to completion
- Supporting external audits and certification visits, including ISO audits
- Supporting client, supplier and regulatory audit preparation activities
- Monitoring compliance with legislation, standards, policies and internal procedures
- Supporting the continual improvement of the Business Management System (BMS)
- Reviewing and updating company procedures, process maps, policies and forms
- Managing compliance trackers, governance actions and audit schedules
- Supporting investigations into process irregularities and compliance issues
- Working collaboratively with operational teams and stakeholders to improve compliance performance
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring systems remain audit-ready
- Supporting wider governance, estates and business improvement initiatives
- Providing bid and pre-qualification support relating to HSEQ and compliance matters
- Attending training and professional development activities, including:
- NEBOSH
- DISA
- ISO Lead Auditor Training
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience within a SHEQ, compliance, governance or audit-focused role
- Experience supporting or conducting internal and external audits
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across different teams
- Confident communicator with a professional and proactive approach
- Experience working with management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems
- Ability to challenge processes constructively and support continuous improvement
- Positive and collaborative approach with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
