We are looking for an experienced and motivated Resource Manager – Rail to support the operational delivery of our rail sector training provision. This is a pivotal role responsible for managing trainer performance, operational delivery standards, compliance alignment, and workforce development across a growing rail training operation.

Working closely with the Training & Compliance Manager Delivery, you will oversee a team of Track Safety and PTMP trainers, ensuring all training activity is delivered safely, professionally, consistently, and in full compliance with awarding organisation standards, Sentinel requirements, RISQS expectations, and internal quality frameworks.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Leading and managing the rail trainer workforce
  • Coordinating day-to-day rail training delivery operations
  • Monitoring trainer competence, authorisations and CPD
  • Conducting trainer observations and supporting development
  • Driving standardisation and continuous improvement activity
  • Supporting Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) and verification programmes
  • Managing Sentinel sponsorship and competency oversight
  • Supporting Safe Work Planning compliance and operational readiness
  • Implementing corrective actions from audits, reviews and quality findings
  • Working collaboratively with compliance, operational support and client services teams

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience managing teams within regulated or compliance-led environments
  • Strong leadership and people management capability
  • Experience supporting trainer development and performance improvement
  • Knowledge of quality assurance, verification and standardisation processes
  • An understanding of rail industry compliance expectations, including Sentinel and Safe Work Planning
  • A collaborative approach with strong organisational and operational coordination skills
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and professionalism

An Internal Quality Assurance qualification (or working towards one), such as the Level 4 Award in IQA of Assessment Processes and Practice, would be advantageous.
