We are looking for land/engineering surveyors from all levels of experience to join our teams to work around Midlands. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions in the survey industry. We will accept candidates with no experience or those who have never worked in the survey industry but have the willingness to learn and embrace a new career as a Land / Engineer Surveyor.

The works will be on a pattern of 8h to 10h shifts during mid-weekdays. If candidates live more than 10 miles (1 hour) from the areas of work, they will be provided with Stay Away Accommodation and subsistence.

About Our Team: The Geospatial team within Asset Management specialise in measuring and surveying civil infrastructure using established and innovative technologies, including drones, laser scanning, and mobile mapping. Working with our clients, we specify, develop, and implement survey solutions. You can assist by bringing a mix of technical knowledge, software skills, analytical thinking, and great instincts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Initially, candidates will be working as part of a team led by one of our Senior Surveyors / Engineers to support the surveys.
  • As these works are for a long period of time, they can be extended to 1 year or more. Candidates will have the opportunity to grow, lead, and start gaining more responsibilities and managing their own works.
  • The works will involve traditional Topographic Surveys, Traversing, Drone Surveys, and Mobile Mapping support surveys.
  • You will proactively promote and maintain a safe working environment for all staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification (not mandatory).
  • Work experience within a similar organisation or other relevant business.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of Geomatics, Topographic Surveying, Total Station, GNSS, Laser Scanning, Mobile mapping, Drones.
  • Demonstrable experience of collaboration to successfully deliver infrastructure projects or programmes.
  • Availability to travel and to work on site (away from home) performing topographical surveys.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A clear work history and proof of professional development and learning.
  • You will be willing to relocate / Stay Away during the week.
  • Full and clean driving licence and availability to drive company vans and vehicles.
  • CSCS cards.
