Contract Ruby Developer Up to £425 per day Outside IR35 6 Months Remote
I’m currently looking for an experienced Ruby Developer to join a growing engineering team on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension.
This is a hands‑on role where youll be working on the development and enhancement of modern software applications, collaborating closely with a wider engineering and product team.
What youll be doing
- Designing, developing and maintaining scalable applications using Ruby
- Building clean, maintainable and well-tested code
- Developing and integrating APIs and backend services
- Collaborating with engineers, product and other stakeholders to deliver new features
- Contributing to technical discussions and improving engineering practices
- Supporting the maintenance and evolution of existing systems
What were looking for
- Strong commercial experience with Ruby
- Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices
- Experience with automated testing and writing high-quality, maintainable code
- Familiarity with modern development practices including CI/CD
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
