Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and organised Project Administrator to provide essential administrative support to our Engineering Delivery Team.

Working across aerospace and defence programmes, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery by coordinating onboarding activities, maintaining project records, and providing day to day administrative support to project teams.

This is a part time opportunity based in our Bristol office with an initial six month fixed term contract and the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the onboarding process for new starters across the Bristol office, client sites, and remote locations.
  • Coordinate onboarding documentation, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
  • Assist the commercial team with timesheet administration.
  • Monitor and coordinate IT equipment for new starters, liaising with internal stakeholders to arrange orders, deliveries and equipment set up.
  • Organise site inductions and coordinate with on site support teams.
  • Act as a key point of contact for new starters during their induction and onboarding process.
  • Provide contractor care support by responding to queries and directing requests to the appropriate teams.
  • Support engineering project teams with day to day administrative activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is managed in line with company procedures.
  • Build effective working relationships with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders across the business.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach with the ability to respond to changing priorities.

Education

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics. Additional qualifications in Business Administration or Project Support are desirable but not essential.

Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative, project support or project coordination role.
  • Experience working within a technical or engineering environment is desirable.
  • Experience supporting contractors or contingent workforces would be advantageous.
  • Experience within the aerospace and defence sector is beneficial but not essential.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and learning new systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong problem solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

  • Experience within the aerospace and defence sector.
  • Experience supporting engineering or technical project teams.
  • Knowledge of project administration processes and engineering documentation.
  • Familiarity with onboarding processes and contractor management.
  • Working Conditions

Based at our Bristol office.

Temporary, part time position working three days per week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday).

Initial six month fixed term contract with the potential for extension.

Office based role supporting engineering delivery teams across multiple programmes.
