We are seeking a skilled and reliable plumber for our client to join a responsive repairs team, working across the North Yorkshire region.
This role involves attending to urgent and routine plumbing issues in tenanted properties, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
About the role
You'll be representing a respected housing association, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining safe, habitable homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out responsive plumbing repairs in domestic properties, including: Fixing leaking taps, toilets, and pipework Unblocking drains and waste systems
- Repairing or replacing radiators and heating components Installing or replacing sinks, baths, and showers, diagnosing and resolving water pressure issues
- Ensure all work is completed on the first visit where possible
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Liaise with tenants in a professional and respectful manner
- Work collaboratively with other trades as needed (e.g., joinery, tiling)
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing Proven experience in responsive repairs, ideally within social housing
- Full UK driving licence (van and fuel card provided) Basic DBS check required
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong communication and customer service
