The predicted salary is between 23.05 - 23.05 £ per hour.

We have a requirement for an Operations Administrator to support a data management exercise working with a global defence client based in Samlesbury. The purpose of the role is to support the International Trade Solutions operational departments and improvement team with the dual administrative tasks of:

  • Assist with loading shipment data onto a booking system for freight agent allocation
  • Coordinate and provide status updates received back from the control tower into the operational department
  • Monitor progress on a daily basis and escalate any issues that are highlighted
  • Provide support to the improvements team in management of improvement activities and assist with the preparation and maintenance of tasks

The successful candidate will be required to perform the following tasks:

  • Assist with processing shipment information onto freight booking system
  • Check data entered is correct and matches shipping paperwork provided
  • Monitor progress on all shipments loaded to booking system
  • Provide regular status updates to operational team members as required
  • Be the point of contact for resolving any queries related to bookings made
  • Compile data, analyse and propose recommendations through reports and presentations.

Outputs & deliverables:

  • Ensure all shipments are loaded within the agreed timeframe
  • Provide weekly status updates to operational team leaders
  • Prompt query resolution
  • Ensure all plans are kept topical, reports issued on time and regular updates provided to senior improvement officer

Knowledge Required

Essential:

  • Ability to multitask but also remember the importance of attention to detail
  • Able to work well on own and as part of a team, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Skills Required

Essential:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software applications
  • Strong time management, organisational skills & keen eye for detail
