We’re looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer to join a major UK defence programme, developing scalable cloud-based software within a modern Agile engineering environment. This is a hands-on Java development role, with a strong cloud-native focus and exposure to containerisation and DevSecOps throughout the software lifecycle.

Key experience:

  • Strong commercial Java development experience
  • Cloud services / cloud-native development
  • Unit and automated testing
  • Spring / Spring Boot and microservices
  • Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift
  • CI/CD and DevSecOps experience
  • SonarQube, Tekton, ArgoCD, Quarkus or Angular beneficial

Security requirements:

Due to the security restrictions of the programme, applicants must already hold active SC clearance and be a sole British national. Unfortunately, candidates who do not meet both requirements cannot be considered.
