Location: Barrow-in-Furness – Site-based, full-time

Please note: This is a local role. Travel allowance is not permitted.

Requirements
  • Valid certification from an accredited body (e.g. NPORS, ECITB or equivalent)
  • Must hold certification covering Mobile crane operations
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely lift, move, and position loads in line with operational requirements
  • Work within confined spaces where required
  • Maintain safe working practices at all times, adhering to Health & Safety regulations and company procedures
  • Interpret job specifications to meet client and project requirements
  • Select and prepare appropriate materials, consumables, and equipment
  • Carry out cleaning tasks and apply temporary protection solutions as needed
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets required standards and specifications
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a crane operator
  • Valid, in-date certifications from an accredited body (e.g. NPORS, ECITB)
  • Proven experience operating mobile cranes, supported by relevant training certification
Additional Information
  • Role will initially follow a shift pattern; flexibility required for night shifts
  • Candidates moving to night shifts must first complete one week on day shifts for risk assessment purposes
  • Must be willing to obtain full SC clearance prior to starting (estimated clearance timeframe: 6–8 weeks)
  • Pre-employment and random drug testing may be required
