This is a fantastic opportunity to join Marshalls Land Systems and their team of Skilled Electrical Installers, manufacturing and installing electrical circuits and communication systems into mobile workspaces and various electrical products and equipment based at their new site in Merthyr Tydfil (postcode CF48 4DR).

Rate(s): £17.17 per hour standard (uplift for overtime). 40 hours a week.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install electrical components into deployable shelters using engineering drawings and associated design data.
  • Read schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures.
  • Operate standard equipment, including but not limited to various testing tools.
  • Assemble and install component pieces using hand and power tools.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety, and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the creation of job instructions, operating procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor – Components & Assembly.
Essential Qualifications
  • Qualification in BS7671 17th/18th edition Requirements for Electrical Installations (willing to upgrade from 17th to 18th if already held; training provided if not).
  • Prior Electrical Installation experience.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Available to work overtime as required.
Desirable Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • City & Guilds 2365 Level 2/3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Building & Structures, or equivalent electrical qualification).
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban and SMED.
  • Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
