The predicted salary is between 35 - 35 £ per hour.

We’re currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to support a busy and fast‑paced assembly environment, working across complex electro‑mechanical products. This is a hands‑on role focused on improving manufacturing efficiency, supporting multiple projects, and ensuring high‑quality builds delivered on time and to budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Manufacturing Instructions to support production
  • Design, commission, and prove tooling required for assembly processes
  • Support industrial validation activities (FMEA, FAI, etc.)
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing and technical issues
  • Implement route card updates following rework or process changes
  • Manage configuration control, incorporating design changes into manufacturing documentation
  • Support non‑conformance activities using SAP
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement

Essential Requirements

  • Qualification route: Advanced/Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering/Manufacturing plus Level 4 qualification (HNC/Diploma etc.) OR Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline with ~5 years’ experience
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate into clear build instructions
  • Experience in electronic sub‑assembly through to full system builds
  • Knowledge of small/miniature electro‑mechanical assembly processes
  • Strong problem‑solving skills within a manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills across multiple levels of the organisation
  • Familiarity with structured processes and procedures
