About the Role

Morson Edge is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of Rolls-Royce SMR for an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-quality support to senior leaders within a fast‑paced and innovative organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team working within the emerging Small Modular Reactor (SMR) sector, supporting leadership teams through effective diary management, stakeholder coordination, business administration, and executive‑level support. The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, ensuring they are supported effectively to deliver key business priorities. You will be highly organised, proactive, and confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail. The role will operate on a hybrid basis, with two days per week based in the Manchester City Centre office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing proactive executive and administrative support to senior leaders and wider leadership teams.
  • Managing complex diaries, scheduling meetings, and coordinating competing priorities.
  • Organising internal and external meetings, including preparing agendas, presentations, briefing documents, and meeting papers.
  • Arranging travel, accommodation, itineraries, and processing expenses where required.
  • Managing inboxes, correspondence, and action tracking to ensure key priorities are progressed.
  • Acting as a central point of contact for senior leadership activity, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparing high-quality reports, presentations, and business documentation.
  • Attending meetings where required, taking accurate minutes, recording decisions, and tracking actions through to completion.
  • Supporting confidential and sensitive business activities with professionalism and discretion.
  • Coordinating leadership meetings, team events, and organisational activities.
  • Supporting governance processes, reporting requirements, and wider business administration.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes and ways of working.
  • Providing flexible support across the organisation in response to changing priorities.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant who can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience working as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, Senior Administrator, or similar role.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders, directors, or executive teams.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to anticipate requirements and work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, professional documentation.
  • Experience handling confidential information with a high level of discretion.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, changing environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience supporting leaders within the nuclear, engineering, energy, manufacturing, infrastructure, or highly regulated sectors.
  • Experience working within a governance‑led environment with exposure to reporting processes and compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting multiple senior stakeholders simultaneously.
