Business Change Manager - Engineering Transformation - £650 per day - Inside IR35 - Hybrid working from Manchester or Derby - 6 months initial contract.

The Opportunity

We are supporting a global engineering organisation working on a major Small Modular Reactor (SMR) programme and are looking for an experienced Business Change Manager to support a significant programme of digital and engineering transformation.

The key requirement is engineering business change experience - specifically, experience managing the impact of new systems and technologies on engineering teams, processes and ways of working.

This could include the implementation of PLM, CAD, engineering design or requirements management tools, such as Teamcenter, NX, AVEVA, Revit, Polarion or equivalent platforms.

You will work across Engineering, Digital / IT and programme teams to ensure new capabilities are successfully adopted and embedded within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business change activity across engineering and digital transformation programmes.
  • Assess the impact of new systems on engineering processes, people and ways of working.
  • Develop and deliver business readiness, adoption, communication and training plans.
  • Work closely with engineering SMEs, stakeholders and programme leadership.
  • Identify and manage resistance, risks and barriers to adoption.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels across the engineering organisation.
  • Track readiness, adoption and benefits, reporting progress to programme leadership.
  • Ensure new systems and processes are effectively embedded across the business.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Change Manager / Change Lead.
  • Strong experience delivering change within an engineering environment.
  • Experience managing change resulting from the implementation of engineering systems, such as:
  • o PLM - Teamcenter or similar
  • o CAD - NX or similar
  • o Engineering design - AVEVA, Revit or similar
  • o Requirements management - Polarion or similar
  • Strong understanding of the impact of technology change on engineering processes and ways of working.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience delivering business readiness, adoption and training activities.

Desirable

  • Experience within nuclear, energy, manufacturing, defence or other highly regulated engineering environments.
  • Experience supporting large-scale engineering transformation programmes.
  • Knowledge of recognised change methodologies such as ADKAR or Kotter.
  • Formal change management qualification.
  • A key point for this role
