About the Opportunity
Morson Edge Finance is partnering with an established international organisation to recruit an Accounts Receivable Assistant into its European finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with existing accounts receivable or finance experience who is looking to broaden their exposure and develop within a supportive finance environment. The role will work closely with the Credit Controller and wider finance team, supporting activity across a number of European entities. The position will have a particular focus on bank reconciliations, cash allocation and customer accounts, alongside journals and wider finance responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing bank account reconciliations
- Posting receipts and allocating cash to customer accounts
- Dealing with customer queries
- Posting credit notes where required
- Posting journals
- Supporting month-end activities and financial reporting
- Working closely with Credit Control, Finance and Commercial teams
- Supporting wider finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring adherence to financial controls and audit requirements
About You
We are looking for someone who has previous experience within an Accounts Receivable, Finance Assistant or similar finance role and is now keen to continue developing their accounting experience. You should have:
- Strong bank reconciliation experience
- Previous accounts/finance administration experience
- Experience of cash allocation and working with customer accounts
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Experience of using an accounting or ERP system
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- A stable career history
- AAT study would be advantageous but is not essential
