Head of Information Security Delivery and Engagement

We’re looking for a Head of IS Delivery and Engagement. Based at our Paddington site, you’ll co-ordinate and manage the Group IS portfolio strategic delivery performance. Additionally, this role manages the departmental IS budget and recruitment, plus it maintains the IS Strategy and Target Operating model for the department. This is a hands-on role which is also the secretariat for the Information Security Performance Board - the senior board within Urenco responsible for the oversight of the Information Security Improvement strategy.

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for the complete information security programme – ensure that it delivers the strategy to time, cost and quality.
• Manage the Information Security budget and financial planning cycles with detailed 2 year forecasts and higher level 10 year forecasts.
• Manage financial change control within projects.
• Run the monthly Information security Performance board to report performance of the inflight projects to the Information Security Leadership team.
• Maintain the IS Strategy and IS Target Operating Model.
• Working with the CISO, workstream leads and delivery managers plan the programme on an annual basis and baseline the projects which are to be delivered.
• Manage and run the InfoSec PMO to ensure that projects are tracked and adhere to established change control procedures.
• Represent IS at I&T forums including project delivery, budget, demand and prioritisation sessions.

What do you need to thrive in this role?

• Preferably a relevant degree or security qualification.
• Proven experience as a Programme Lead.
• Relevant experience of working on cyber change projects with the ability to bring the project rigour and discipline.
• Thorough understanding of project/programme management techniques and methods.
• Excellent knowledge of business change management principles.
• Experience of working in a global organisation delivering projects through a matrix relationship.
• Proven ability to deliver projects to time, cost and quality.
• Strong programme/project management skills with knowledge of tools and methods to deliver.
• Experience of delivery within a cyber programme.

Security vetting

Due to the nature of the industry that Urenco operates in, all personnel regardless of employment status working for Urenco are required to obtain security clearance at the level required for their role. Security clearances are assessed in accordance with regulations and official guidance issued by the relevant competent authorities for national security vetting. In certain circumstances, additional enhanced security clearance considerations apply to roles within Urenco owing to the particular activities that the Urenco Group undertakes in relation to uranium enrichment. Successful candidates will need to satisfy security requirements, and all offers of appointment are made subject to the successful approval of all checks initiated.
