Overview

Onsite: 1 day per week; remainder remote.

Clearance: Active SC Clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the project security focal point, providing security advice and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess and manage project security risks, maintaining Security Risk Registers and supporting risk-based decision making.
  • Produce and maintain Security Management Plans, assurance evidence and other project security documentation.
  • Support compliance with contractual, regulatory and organisational security requirements.
  • Coordinate security assurance activities, audits and evidence gathering.
  • Produce governance reports, dashboards and security updates for senior stakeholders.
  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure security requirements are understood and implemented.
  • Promote security best practice across projects and programmes.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in security governance, GRC, information assurance or cyber security consultancy.
  • Good understanding of security risk management, compliance and assurance.
  • Experience working with frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
  • Experience producing security documentation, including Security Management Plans, Risk Registers or compliance evidence.
  • Understanding of network and infrastructure security principles, with the ability to engage confidently with technical teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and documentation skills.
  • Active SC Clearance.

Desirable

  • Security certifications such as Security+, Network+, CRISC, CISSP, CISM or equivalent.
  • Experience working within large, complex or regulated environments.
