Electronics Work Package Manager

Cheadle, Manchester – 6 month duration – Pay rate negotiable – Inside IR35

We are looking for a Work Package Manager to work for our defence client on complex anti-submarine warfare electronic systems. You will have a proven background in managing the delivery of electronic and firmware projects. This will initially be based onsite but can move to hybrid working with 3 days onsite 2 days from home once settled in.

Responsibilities

Your role as a Work Package Manager is to deliver complex and priority projects to time, cost and quality to drive the design, development and delivery of electronic sub-systems, from concept through into full production.

Requirements

  • A background in engineering development of complex firmware or electronic units.
  • Knowledge of Project Management best practice: Risk Management, Stakeholder Management, Compliance Management, Configuration Management and Earned Value Management.
  • Proven ability of delivering significant project/programmes on time and to cost.
  • Proven ability of project management across the various phases from project conception and initiation through manufacture and qualification to customer delivery.
  • Individuals with excellent communication skills able to influence others to their way of thinking.
  • Organised with an eye for detail and a sense of pride in what they deliver.

Additional Information

This role will require the successful candidate to be capable of gaining a UK MOD Security Clearance to SC level prior to starting, with a requirement for UK Eyes Only due to the classification of the project.
