Morson Group are seeking a qualified Architect or similar to lead design teams and take responsibility as the Principal Designer under the Building Safety Act and CDM regulations.
Responsibilities
- Compliance: Take reasonable steps to ensure the design complies with all relevant building regulations and safety standards, maintaining the 'golden thread' of safety information.
- Principal Designer (BR): Act as the lead design dutyholder, planning, managing, and monitoring design work from RIBA Stage 2 onwards.
- Safety Coordination: Review fire safety, structural integrity, and building regulations compliance at every stage.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records, technical specifications, and compliance declarations to meet BSR requirements.
- Coordination: Actively manage and cooperate with other designers, contractors, and clients to ensure design integrity and safe construction.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and Approved Documents.
- Experience in coordinating design teams and managing client relationships.
- Strong understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and their integration with new Building Regulations.
