An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a professional Project Management team supporting a major aerospace manufacturing programme.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving project management excellence, governance, methodologies, and tools across multiple programme streams and locations.
Reporting directly to the Head of the Project Management Office, you will support programme teams in all aspects of professional project management to achieve time, cost, and performance objectives.
The primary focus of the role will be Change Control and Modification Implementation, although experience across the following areas would be highly beneficial:
- Work Package Management & Terms of Work (To W) Management
- Ramp-Up Governance & Enablement Projects
- Integrated Planning, Ramp-Up & Cap Ex Management
- Resource Control & Business Performance
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate, your responsibilities will include
- Ensuring projects are supported by strong project management expertise, applying appropriate project and programme management structures, governance, and best practices across multiple workstreams.
- Working closely with project leaders and wider project organisations on a day‑to‑day basis.
- Promoting the understanding and adoption of project management best practices through coaching, awareness sessions, and constructive challenge where required.
- Tailoring project management methods and tools in line with established standards and project requirements.
- Supporting effective communication and stakeholder management to ensure alignment across interfacing projects and operational teams.
- Promoting Agile ways of working and acting as Scrum Master where required.
- Developing end‑to‑end project plans and managing all changes against approved baselines, including the identification of Earned Value Management (EVM) milestones and critical paths.
- Monitoring performance against plan throughout the project lifecycle, identifying potential deviations, and recommending preventive or corrective actions to support informed decision‑making.
- Driving the Risk & Opportunity Management process in line with project requirements, maintaining associated registers and providing regular status updates to key stakeholders.
- Collaborating with Finance teams to assess project progress against costs incurred and time expended.
- Producing and publishing management reports, developing KPIs and dashboards, and supporting project reviews, operational meetings, and governance activities.
- Implementing digital solutions to improve reporting, KPI generation, planning, and business performance visibility.
- Leveraging advanced business intelligence and planning tools to improve transparency, reduce manual processes, and support more effective decision‑making.
This role may involve occasional business travel, and candidates should be willing to travel as required.

Experience & Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of professional experience.
- Proven project management experience within a complex organisational environment.
- Experience working across at least two business functions, such as Procurement, Engineering, ICT, Quality, Supply Chain, or Operations.
- Good understanding of aerospace manufacturing and/or engineering environments.
- Experience working with suppliers and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant European regulations and compliance requirements, including substance regulations such as REACH.
- Professional Project Management certification, such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, or equivalent.
- Good working knowledge of a range of project management systems and business tools.
- Experience applying Agile project management methodologies, including Scrum and SAFe.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively across multiple functions and disciplines.
- Fluent English required. Additional language skills in German, French, and/or Chinese would be advantageous.
