Landscape Architect planner role to be based out of a busy Bristol office. Occasional travel may be required for specific project needs such as meetings or site visits. They are looking for a senior landscape planner (Principal Consultant to Technical Director level) to lead and grow their existing landscape planning service. You can expect to enjoy a challenging and varied role and will typically be authoring and providing input to a range of technical landscape and visual assessments. You will be working alongside their EIA managers and other aspect technical experts, as well as their landscape design team. You will be involved in delivering a number of existing projects including solar farms, wind farms, and gas to grid biomethane plants.

You will have a client-facing role with responsibility for managing project teams and project delivery, as well as winning new work and growing the team. You will also be a team player, happy to share knowledge, collaborate and support others, and demonstrate an interest in sustainable landscape solutions as part of the assessment and design process. This is an exceptional opportunity at an exciting time both for their business and for environmental consultancy. External training will be provided where required.

Key Requirements

  • Chartered landscape architect with CMLI qualification (or on the P2C)
  • Demonstrable experience of handling LVIA's in both EIA and non-EIA developments either independently, or as part of a team and wanting to make the next step in their career
  • Excellent knowledge of GLVIA Third edition and the associated technical guidance notes
  • Good knowledge of the UK planning system, planning guidance, and policy context
  • Site and photography experience for landscape and visual assessments
  • Fluent spoken English with excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
  • Technical skills and proficiency in Autodesk, GIS software, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Full UK driving licence

Qualifications

  • Degree level qualification in Landscape Architecture or recognised equivalent.
  • A Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute or on the P2C.
