Salary: £28,000 per annum.
This role is open to graduates or apprentices. Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the design and development of electrical protection and control systems for HV and EHV networks.
- Assist with protection design and coordination studies.
- Support fault level calculations and protection grading assessments.
- Produce electrical design documentation, including single line diagrams, protection schematics, wiring diagrams, technical reports and specifications.
- Support design reviews and technical assurance activities.
- Work with experienced engineers on safety‑critical infrastructure projects.
- Learn industry standards including ENA, IEC and National Grid specifications.
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or currently studying towards one) or a relevant electrical apprenticeship qualification.
- Strong interest in electrical power systems and engineering design.
- Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and develop within a professional engineering environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
