My client, a leading organisation within the UK nuclear sector, is looking to appoint an experienced Business Analyst to support the delivery of major digital and information management initiatives across a highly regulated, technically complex environment. This is an outstanding opportunity to join an organisation at the forefront of one of the UK’s most critical industries, where you’ll help shape how information is managed to support large-scale engineering, operational and business transformation programmes.
Working within a collaborative Digital & IT function, you’ll partner with business stakeholders, architects, project teams and data specialists to ensure business needs are translated into clear information requirements that enable better decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with business stakeholders to understand, challenge and document business and information requirements.
- Translate business needs into structured information requirements that support digital solutions, reporting and data management.
- Analyse information flows, identifying risks, data quality issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with Business Architects, Information Architects and project delivery teams to validate requirements and resolve complex business challenges.
- Produce high-quality business analysis documentation, process maps and information flow diagrams.
- Manage analysis activities across several projects simultaneously, ensuring deliverables are completed on time.
- Act as the key interface between business users and Digital & IT teams, helping stakeholders access the right Information Management services.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Information Management processes, standards and best practices.
- Significant experience as a Business Analyst delivering enterprise-scale digital or technology projects.
- About 5 years experience across the wider systems development lifecycle.
- Strong experience gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements.
- The ability to translate business requirements into structured information and data requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience managing priorities across multiple projects within complex organisations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Visio, for producing process maps and information flow documentation.
Experience working within the nuclear industry or another highly regulated environment such as energy, defence, utilities, aerospace or pharmaceuticals would be highly advantageous. Candidates with experience supporting digital transformation, engineering, asset management, information management or data initiatives within regulated industries will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.
