Brickwork Facade Site Manager - Wigan - Main Contractor

We are currently seeking an experienced Brickwork Facade Site Manager to join the team on a major construction project in Wigan.

As Brickwork Facade Site Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of all brickwork façade packages, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will act as the key liaison between design teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities

Manage brickwork façade design development from concept through to construction and completion. Coordinate architects, façade consultants, structural engineers, and specialist subcontractors. Review and approve shop drawings, calculations, material submissions, samples, and mock-ups. Ensure brickwork façade systems meet all structural, thermal, acoustic, fire, waterproofing, and durability requirements.

Oversee the procurement, manufacture, and installation of brickwork façade systems. Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Identify and resolve technical issues, design conflicts, and installation challenges. Coordinate and manage façade testing, including mock-ups, performance testing, and on-site inspections.

Ensure all brickwork façade works comply with relevant regulations, standards, and project requirements. Implement and maintain quality control procedures and inspection programmes. Promote and support safe working practices, particularly relating to façade installation and access systems.

Develop and monitor brickwork façade-related programmes, milestones, and deliverables. Support cost control initiatives, value engineering exercises, and change management processes. Review subcontractor applications, progress claims, and variation requests.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all brickwork façade-related matters. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and project stakeholders. Provide regular updates on progress, risks, technical issues, and project performance.

Requirements

Minimum 4 years experience in façade management, brickwork façade delivery, façade engineering, or façade contracting. Previous experience working on large-scale, high-rise, or complex construction projects is highly desirable. Strong understanding of brickwork façades, cladding systems, glazing interfaces, and façade materials.

• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Thorough understanding of façade performance standards and testing requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively to demanding deadlines.
• Experience with AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, and façade-related software would be advantageous.
