Overview

In this role you join a UK-wide talent pool for water, wastewater, flood risk and infrastructure projects. You will work across consultancy, design and site delivery to support major water companies and Tier 1 contractors. You’ll apply hydraulic and flood modelling skills, manage projects through design to commissioning, and ensure safe, cost-conscious delivery. The opportunity offers both permanent and contract roles across multiple locations, focusing on impactful water infrastructure. You will thrive in a collaborative, project-driven environment that values technical excellence and delivery performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support project delivery from design through construction and commissioning
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
  • Oversee planning, project controls and cost management
  • Ensure health & safety and CDM compliance on sites
  • Contribute to design management and NEC3/NEC4 contract processes
  • Engage with water companies and major contractors to coordinate work
  • Apply flood risk and hydraulic modelling to inform decisions
  • Support commercial management and project governance

Key requirements

  • Experience in water/wastewater/flood risk/infrastructure sectors
  • Proficiency in flood modelling and hydraulic modelling (1D/2D)
  • Familiarity with industry tools (TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoWorks ICM)
  • Experience with project or construction management
  • Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts
  • Experience coordinating with water companies and Tier 1 contractors
  • Ability to manage subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
