Morson Edge is recruiting for a skilled and motivated Structures Supervisor to support military aircraft structural maintenance operations at RAF Valley. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regulated and safety-critical aviation environment, where you will play a key role in supervising structural maintenance activities, leading technical teams, and ensuring operational excellence across aircraft maintenance programmes. The successful candidate will bring strong aircraft structural engineering experience, leadership capability, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate technicians carrying out aircraft structural maintenance and repair activities
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory standards
- Undertake 1st and 2nd signature responsibilities where appropriately authorised
- Deputise for the Team Leader as required to support operational delivery
- Allocate manpower effectively and monitor maintenance progress to meet operational requirements
- Ensure full compliance with maintenance documentation, airworthiness regulations, and quality procedures
- Promote and uphold safety, quality, and continuous improvement practices across all activities
- Support the maintenance, inspection, and repair of primary, secondary, and tertiary aircraft structures
- Maintain exceptional standards of workmanship within a fast-paced military aviation environment
Candidate Requirements
- Strong engineering knowledge with hands‑on aircraft maintenance experience
- Proven experience working on aircraft structural repairs and maintenance activities
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and technical documentation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach to safety, compliance, and team leadership
- The ability to work effectively within a highly regulated and safety‑critical environment
Qualifications & Experience
- City & Guilds 2675 Level 3, NVQ Level 3 in Aircraft Maintenance, or equivalent recognised qualification
- Qualified and experienced in airframe structural repair techniques
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience within a relevant engineering or aviation maintenance environment
- Strong working knowledge of engineering drawings and technical publications
