Overview
In this regional role, you will deliver hands-on HR support across Hinkley Point C and Devonport, advising managers and staff on employee relations and performance matters. Youβll contribute to a regional People Plan and drive improvements in HR processes and employee experience. The position sits within a Nuclear & Defence team, offering exposure to high-profile projects and cross-site collaboration. This is a dynamic, impact-focused role for an experienced People professional seeking to shape how people operations support business objectives.

Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice to managers and staff on HR matters including employee relations, disciplinary and grievance procedures, absence and performance management
- Assist with investigations and fair resolution of employee concerns
- Ensure HR policies and practices comply with current employment law
- Manage employee relations cases from start to finish with thorough documentation
- Contribute to the regional People Plan and drive process improvements
- Maintain GDPR-compliant and accurate employee records
- Support performance management processes including goal setting and reviews
- Collaborate with the wider People Team on engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities to ensure a positive candidate experience
- Identify opportunities to streamline People operations and service delivery
Key requirements
- Proven experience as a People/HR Advisor (minimum 2 years)
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment law
- Experience managing Employee Relations casework end-to-end
- Understanding of disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influence across levels
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
