SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) Manager
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) Manager who will take the lead in ensuring that every person on site is protected, risks are effectively managed, and a strong safety culture is embedded in everything we do. In this pivotal role, the primary responsibility will be to ensure that every member of the team goes home safe and well, every day. The SHE Manager will be the driving force behind the health and safety culture, providing strategic direction for SHE activities across the business, setting standards, ensuring conformity with statutory, legal and regulatory requirements, and supporting people in working safely and responsibly at all times.
Specific Areas of Responsibility:

  • Lead and coach the SHE team.
  • Provide strategic vision and prioritise SHE activities to drive improvement.
  • Develop and improve SHE programmes to deliver compliance and business enhancement.
  • Promote behavioural safety initiatives (e.g., safety observations, toolbox talks) and embed a culture of constructive challenge.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Audit compliance, assess performance, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Support teams in meeting compliance obligations through training, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Develop SHE training plans for employees.
  • Oversee investigations and reporting of incidents, ensuring root cause analysis and risk mitigation.
  • Maintain and improve Safety, Health, and Environmental policies.
  • Advise the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership on SHE successes, risks, and opportunities (including legislation, regulation, and ISO requirements).
  • Prepare reports and manage the SHE budget.
