This is an opportunity to shape critical, secure estates while progressing into senior or principal leadership with commercial accountability. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li competitive benefits package /li li flexible working /li li professional development /li li opportunities to lead nationally important infrastructure projects /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead the production of structural designs, calculations, drawings and technical documentation /li li Develop robust solutions compliant with Structural Eurocodes, Building Regulations and client requirements /li li Review and check engineering deliverables for technical quality /li li Lead and support engineers and technicians across single and multidisciplinary projects /li li Manage design quality and programme performance across multiple schemes /li li Develop solutions for new-build, refurbishment, alteration and strengthening projects /li li Coordinate with architects, building-services engineers, contractors and other disciplines /li li Undertake site surveys, inspections and technical assessments /li li Liaise with clients, suppliers and project stakeholders /li li Manage design risks and support CDM compliance /li li Contribute to bids, fee proposals and work-winning activities /li li At Principal level, manage project budgets, resources and commercial performance /li li Mentor and develop junior engineers /li li Undertake people-management responsibilities where required /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Degree or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering /li li Extensive building-structures design experience /li li Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures /li li Detailed knowledge of Structural Eurocodes, Building Regulations and design governance /li li Experience leading engineers and technicians /li li Ability to produce, check and approve technically robust deliverables /li li Experience managing quality and programme performance across multiple projects /li li Familiarity with Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds and 3D design software /li li Strong client and stakeholder-management skills /li li Incorporated or Chartered status with a professional institution /li li Chartered status and technical leadership for principal level; work-winning experience would be advantageous /li li Experience with prisons, courts or secure operational estates would be beneficial /li li Ability to obtain MoJ security clearance /li /ul ul li leadership /li li stakeholder-management /li li mentoring /li li Tekla Structural Designer /li li Tekla Tedds /li li Structural Eurocodes /li /ul
