Senior Management Accountant

Rate: £400 – £550 p/d inside IR35

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 12 months

Our client is a leading technology company and specialist in the design, build, and maintenance of the UK\’s digital infrastructure.

They currently have a requirement for a Senior Management Accountant to join their team based in Warwick.

With a turnover of more than £100m from major fixed and wireless operators, public sector & emergency services customers, and employing more than 500 people across the country, they provide world-class ICT services.

The role\’s responsibility is to provide financial support to the Network Services Business and is key to driving the business to exceed its financial targets through accurate reporting, robust forecasting, and rigorous financial review.

This is an opportunity to make a real difference through regular engagement with the Senior Management Team. A key member of the team with a remit to challenge and improve financial outcomes through a thorough understanding of the numbers within a business context and market conditions.

The Opportunity

  1. Work with the Finance Business Partner to improve reporting and forecasting processes.
  2. Develop financial models to support forecasting activities, evaluate existing models, and recommend improvements.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and assumptions for forecasting.
  4. Conduct Working Capital Analysis and forecast, focusing on improving data integration, modeling, and communication.
  5. Create total cash forecasts from inputs from projects and operations teams.
  6. Identify areas for process improvement focusing on streamlining and increasing accuracy and timeliness.

The Person

  1. Mathematically skilled, proficient in Excel modeling.
  2. Familiar with financial planning and analysis (FP&A), especially Working Capital management, Balance Sheet, and cash forecasting.
  3. Systems savvy (Oracle) and curious about systems like Sitetacker, PowerBI, QlikView, etc.
  4. Qualified or qualified by experience accountant – CIMA/ACA/ACCA.
  5. Experience managing multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and deliverables.
  6. Strong communication skills to explain complex accounting issues to non-financial audiences.
  7. Honesty, integrity, attention to detail, ownership, and delivery focus.
  8. Ability to foster a team ethos built on trust and respect, meeting deadlines, delivering excellent service, and encouraging growth.
