Senior Finance Manager
Location: Clevedon, Somerset, Hybrid (Office-based 3 days per week)
Rate: £338 - 350 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: Interim to January 2027
Start: ASAP
Morson are recruiting for a Senior Finance Manager to join a leading organisation in Clevedon on an interim basis.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will work closely with the Services leadership team, taking ownership of financial reporting, controls, forecasting and commercial support.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced qualified accountant with strong month-end, core accounting and business partnering experience.
The Role
Your responsibilities of the Senior Finance Manager will include:
- Leading the month-end process and delivering accurate monthly financial reporting.
- Providing financial insight, analysis and variance reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Business partnering with operational leaders to drive financial performance.
- Owning financial controls and governance, including balance sheet integrity.
- Coordinating budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
- Supporting statutory reporting, tax compliance and audit processes.
- Developing business cases for capital expenditure and investment.
- Supporting wider finance and ERP implementation activity.
About You
You will be a qualified accountant with a strong financial accounting background and experience operating in a senior finance role.
You will ideally have:
- Strong, hands-on experience of month-end processes.
- Proven business partnering experience with senior operational stakeholders.
- Strong core accounting skills and a solid financial accounting background.
- Experience producing management accounts and high-quality management information.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience with financial controls, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Confidence challenging senior stakeholders constructively.
- A proactive and organised approach.
