We are looking for a Contractor Care Advisor to join our Payroll team, supporting contractors with queries relating to pay, payments, and payroll processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, taking ownership, and delivering a high level of service. You will be the first point of contact for contractor queries, responsible for understanding the issue, investigating the details, and driving each query through to a successful resolution. You will need to be confident handling a variety of conversations, including those that may be challenging, while maintaining a professional and supportive approach. The ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and proactively follow up on outstanding queries will be key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Own contractor queries from initial contact through to resolution, ensuring issues are investigated and closed effectively.
- Handle queries relating to contractor pay, payroll processes, payments, and account details.
- Provide accurate and timely responses via telephone and ticketing systems, working within agreed SLAs.
- Investigate issues thoroughly, identify solutions, and avoid unnecessary escalation where possible.
- Manage difficult conversations with professionalism, empathy, and confidence.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding queries to ensure contractors are kept updated.
- Support contractors with compliance processes and systems.
- Process advance payments and update contractor bank details where required.
- Complete welcome calls with new starters to provide support and guidance.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive personal and financial information.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure best practices and continuous improvement.
