Morson are currently recruiting for a Project Manager on a 3 - 6 month+ contract in Crawley. Our client specialises in building Flight Simulators for airlines with support from aerospace manufacturers. This particular project requires a Project Manager who can manage the relationship between client and engineers to deliver complicated engineering equipment. We’re looking for an experienced project manager that has strong engineering knowledge, and excellent stakeholder engagement skills. Candidates must be prepared to work 4 days on site in Crawley, there is not the option to work more than 1 day/week from home.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex engineering project through to delivery.
  • Work with internal and external engineers to deliver electronic and mechanical systems suitable for customer use.
  • Represent the clients’ best interests in meetings between supplier and customer.
  • Control budget, resources and mitigate risks across different project levels.
  • Communicate within internal and external channels to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of project progress.

Requirements

  • Experienced of delivering a complex engineering project with electronic and mechanical components.
  • Experience within a highly regulated industry such as Aerospace.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace avionics and actuators.
  • Commercial acumen, able to communicate with customers throughout a project.
  • Experience managing resources, risk and budget.
  • Engineering mindset, able to workshop with engineers to find solutions.
