We are seeking a Production Technologist to provide expert production technology support to the Asset team, ensuring economic production from Morecambe is maximised daily throughout the field’s life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement well and reservoir management activities to optimise daily production from the Morecambe fields.
  • Develop and maintain a structured well surveillance plan to ensure wells operate within their safe operating envelope.
  • Lead the preparation of short-term production forecasts for the assets.
  • Contribute to assumptions used in preparing long-term production forecasts.
  • Ensure appropriate well and system network modelling is available and up to date.
  • Identify and mature technologies or solutions to maximise production from existing wells.
  • Chair daily and weekly production optimisation meetings to ensure all wells and facilities operate at peak efficiency.
  • Generate and manage the asset choke model; collaborate with teams to identify production bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
  • Identify, record, and mitigate production losses, ensuring actions are taken to prevent recurrence where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the annual budget process, ensuring well interventions are appropriately forecasted and budgeted.
  • Act as Lead Investigator using Kelvin TopSet investigation techniques to support business requirements.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

Technical Skills

  • Production Engineer or Petroleum Engineering skillset with the ability to critically review production forecasts.
  • Understanding of gas processing operations and related processes.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level, ideally in a subsurface or production-related discipline.
